Dr Lisa Walters is an experienced cardiologist with expertise in echocardiography, including transthoracic, transoesophageal, advanced structural and stress echocardiography.

Dr Walters earned her medical degree from the University of Queensland before undertaking specialist cardiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital. She then pursued further prestigious subspecialty training in the United States. She completed dual fellowships in Advanced Echocardiography at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.

On returning to Brisbane, Dr Walters has continued to provide expert cardiac care at the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside and The Prince Charles Hospital. She is one of the most experienced structural echocardiologists in Australia.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Walters is dedicated to medical education and mentoring. She holds a Senior Lecturer position at the University of Queensland, where she contributes to the training and development of future cardiologists and cardiac scientists.
