Dr Su Hnin Hlaing is a highly qualified General and Interventional cardiologist with extensive expertise in complex coronary artery revascularisation including advanced calcium modification techniques, intravascular imaging, coronary physiology assessments. She is also proficient in primary angioplasty for acute myocardial infarction.

Dr Hlaing’s clinical expertise encompasses the comprehensive assessment and management of a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions including valvular heart disease, angina, coronary artery disease, heart failure and preventative cardiology.

Dr Hlaing completed her medical degree in Myanmar in 2007 and subsequently obtained a Master of Medicine (internal medicine) from the National University of Singapore and Membership of Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom).  She completed her basic physician training in Australia, followed by advanced cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and Mackay Base Hospital. She further specialized her expertise through a 2.5-year intensive interventional fellowship at The Prince Charles Hospital.

Dr Hlaing is committed to advancing the field of cardiology through ongoing academic collaborations and clinical research. She holds a lectureship at the School of Medicine, The University of Queensland and is a frequent speaker at national and international cardiology conferences. In 2022, she received the Best Clinical Case Award at AICT-ASIA
